Steps to Apply
We invite families to take the time to get to know Buen Día Family School and learn about our approach to early childhood education.
Our admissions process gives families an opportunity to learn about our program, visit our school, share more about their child and family, and understand tuition and financial assistance options before completing enrollment.
Applications for the 2027–2028 school year open in October 2026.
Our Admissions Process
1. Attend an Admissions Information Session
Our admissions process begins with an online Admissions Information Session. During the session, we’ll share information about:
- Our educational philosophy and approach
- A typical day at Buen Día
- Our classroom community and program
- Tuition and enrollment options
- ELFA and other financial assistance opportunities
- The admissions and enrollment process
There will also be time for families to ask questions.
Information Sessions are required before scheduling a school visit.

Register for an Admissions Information Session
2. Visit Buen Día
After attending an Information Session, families will have an opportunity to schedule a 30-minute drop-in visit.
Visits give you and your child a chance to see our classrooms, observe our program, meet members of our team, and get a feel for our community.
We believe visiting our school is an important part of the admissions process. It gives families an opportunity to imagine their child at Buen Día while allowing us to begin getting to know your family.
3. Submit an Application
After visiting Buen Día, families may submit an application for the upcoming school year.
Our application helps us learn more about your child, your family, and what you are looking for in an early childhood program.
Complete the 2027–2028 Admissions Application
Tuition Assistance & ELFA
Families interested in tuition assistance through ELFA can also complete our separate ELFA Interest Form as part of the admissions process.
We encourage families who may be interested in financial assistance to let us know early. This allows us to provide information about the ELFA process and helps families better understand their potential tuition costs before making an enrollment decision.
Complete the ELFA Interest Form
ELFA eligibility and tuition assistance are determined through the required eligibility and documentation process. Completing the interest form does not guarantee an award or a specific tuition amount.
Application Fee
Our application includes a fee. However, we do not want the application fee to prevent a family from applying. If the fee presents a financial hardship, please contact us to discuss options.
4. Admissions Review
After the application period closes, our Admissions Team carefully reviews applications.
We consider each application individually while taking into account available spaces, classroom composition, age, anticipated enrollment, and the needs of our school community.
5. Receive an Admissions Decision
Families will receive an admissions decision by email.
If your child is offered a space, we will provide information about the next steps, including tuition, financial assistance, and the enrollment timeline.
6. Review Tuition & Financial Assistance
Before completing an enrollment contract, families will have an opportunity to review their tuition arrangements and learn more about available financial assistance.
For families pursuing ELFA, the applicable tuition assistance is determined through the ELFA eligibility process and required documentation.
Our goal is for families to have a clear understanding of their tuition responsibilities and available options before committing to enrollment.
7. Accept Your Contract & Complete Enrollment
Once a family decides to accept an offer, they will complete the enrollment contract and required enrollment materials.
This includes required health and licensing documentation, family agreements, tuition arrangements, and other enrollment forms.
Your child's enrollment is finalized once all required materials and agreements have been completed.
Come Visit Us at Our Open House
We also invite prospective families to join us for our 2027 Open House.

10:00–11:30 AM
Our Open House is an opportunity to visit Buen Día, see our classrooms and learning spaces, meet members of our community, and learn more about our program.
Everyone interested in Buen Día is welcome to attend.
The Open House is not a required step in the admissions process. Families who attend are still asked to participate in an Admissions Information Session before scheduling a drop-in visit.
Missed our Admissions Season?
Our primary admissions period for the 2027–2028 school year runs from October through February, but families who do not apply during our regular admissions season are still welcome to apply to Buen Día.
Families may submit an application outside of our regular admissions period to be considered for our wait pool.
Throughout the school year, enrollment can sometimes change as families' circumstances change. When a space becomes available, we typically begin by looking at families in our wait pool.
If a space becomes available that may be a good fit for your family, our Admissions Team will contact you and invite you to schedule a school visit and tour. We will then continue the admissions process from there.
Submitting an application outside of our regular admissions season does not guarantee that a space will become available, but it allows us to keep your family in consideration if enrollment changes.
